Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day, and I already know I will eat too much. I always do, because I love everything on the Thanksgiving table. The foods both bring back lots of great memories of holidays past and celebrate today’s new friends.
Last week, our church had a speaker on hunger, especially hunger in our own state. Afterwards, our children and adults put together boxes of food to take to some local families and individuals who are in need this year.
As you give thanks tomorrow, I hope you will have a very long list of all the people and things, tangible and intangible, with which you have been blessed. You may be blessed with an abundance of energy, time, faith, prayers, money, or other gifts.
I also hope that this Thanksgiving and the rest of the holiday season, you will find a few moments to meditate on your own abundance, and then seek to find ways to share out of that abundance.
